Drop Ship Bluprint:
What is Dropshipping anyway?
Drop shipping is a type of product delivery method in which the retailer or (seller) will accept a payment for an order placed by the customer, but the customer receives the actual product/products directly from the manufacturer or warehouse.
With a drop shipping arrangement, the retailer acts as a liaison or middleman between the manufacturer and the customer. His eventual profit in the entire transaction is the difference between the wholesale and the retail price of the product sold.
One of the largest problems that drop shipping passes on to retailers is the control of the inventory. In conventional retail store selling, items are ordered in mass quantities or bulk directly from the manufacturing warehouse and must be stored in a completely secure setting until the products are ready to be displayed.
Drop shipping is quite beneficial for smaller retailers, internet based shops and even those who primarily use catalogues for their sales. Customers of these types of outlets rarely expect to carry out their purchases, so a small period of time for delivery is quite acceptable.
Sometimes a demo or dummy model can be placed and displayed on the store's display area and the actual product or item is sometimes waiting to be ordered somewhere in Asia...(usually).
